F-18 Blue Angel - Small
The F-18 Hornet was a twin-engine all-weather jet fighter aircraft designed and manufactured in late 1970s for the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The aircraft made its first flight in 1978 and still very much in active service. Powered by twin turbofan engines with afterburners, the F-18 is a powerful all-weather aircraft capable of flying at Mach speed 1.8. It is armed with different armament like guns, missiles, bombs, rockets and advanced avionics. In addition to its fighter aircraft role, the Hornet was also used as a flight demonstration plane by the US Navy’s Blue Angels. Significantly modified for the role, the Hornet as a Blue Angels’ aircraft had an extra fuel pump and a smoke oil tank on the nose.
